My paintings tell an untold story about women in a way that words cannot. I have found the stories of brave and cerebral women to be useful in the rearranging of preconceived ideas about who they were. My artwork takes a critical view of the forgotten women in history with respect to the fragility of gender roles, ethnicity, political and cultural issues. My paintings depict the female human condition unfolded into an existence, often faced with anxiety and hyper vigilance only to be calmed by real life female contentment of wants and dreams, most which are the stories forgotten from the earliest of time, both urban and rural, often coexisting with their colonizer, a people and a culture lost but also unexpectedly found. I translate my paintings into beautiful works of fine art that inspire and feed the soul.

MY INSPIRATION / MY TRAVELS
I find inspiration for my paintings from a variety of places I've traveled. Experiencing the many wonderful old world paintings at the Louvre in Paris, France and seeing the Mona Lisa in person was an art experience embedded deep into my heart.

Aside from the Louvre and Eiffel Tower, we experienced many other well exhibited art museums, like the D'Orsay which had a Manet exhibit that was exquisite.

My husband and I in remote Jojutla, Mexico, my father's hometown.

My all-time favorite place to travel and find inspiration is within my beautiful America with my "little big man" and family that I adore. We are always finding new places to explore.
